With all of the ways that you can make money online today not one is more fun than making money playing video games. I personally do this myself and to be honest with you it is one of those things that I will never regret doing. When I first began playing online many people did not come to my channel and I soon found out that it was much harder to gain an audience than I previously thought. In this review I want to share some helpful insights and advice that I learned from my own experience so that you can begin making money playing video games just like me.

What To Do To Get Paid Playing Video Games

Well before you can even think about playing video games for a living the first thing that you have to do is make sure that you are ready to play games for a living. Many people don’t realize how much work this actually entails such as editing countless hours of video, creating your own custom thumbnail for YouTube, engaging your audience and even building your audience. When I first started my cousin DeviWolf and I played video games for what seemed like hours at a time and for a long time we did not have a single viewer watching us. Over time we learned that many people wanted to watch people who were funny rather than people who were serious.

The one thing that you need to do first is to make sure that you have as much fun as possible. While I know there are many hardcore gamers out there that like to take video games seriously, many people who want to watch gameplay want to watch somebody that is funny and seems like a cool person. Some famous Youtubers who are like this include Pewdiepie, Swifty, and SodaPoppin. People want to watch you have as much fun playing the game as they are watching it. For an example of some funny gaming moments that people like to see check out my gaming video below. My cousin and I made this “trailer” only recently and we wanted to show people how much fun we are when we play games.

    What Equipment Do You Need

In order to begin playing video games for a living you need to make sure that you have the right equipment in order to do so. Some of the things that you will need include:

    • Video Game Capture Card
    • Video Game Consoles (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC)
    • Video Editing Software (For Windows: Sony Vegas Pro and For Mac: Final Cut Pro X)
    • Gaming Headset/ Recording Headset (PX22 Headset)

Can Anybody Start Gaming For A Living?

The answer to this question is yes. Even if you have never done something like this before you can begin doing it, as long as you are able to commit to it fulltime. While you can easily start doing this on the side, unless you want to be serious you will need to dedicate at least 30 hours plus a week in order to make it successful. The only thing that you need to do is sign up for your own YouTube Channel to begin producing mass amounts of video game play for millions of people to see.

There is a ton of money to made in the gaming industry.

    My Final Opinion

Getting paid to play video games is definitely a legit way to make money online, but do not be fooled. It is much harder to make money than it may seem. For those who wish to go into this line of work should not expect to make money overnight as it will not happen. There are many factors that you need to consider first such as driving traffic to your channel, posting quality content on a weekly basis and making sure that you keep your viewers engaged. Playing video games for a living takes a lot of dedication and time but as long as you are willing to do it then you can easily become the next big YouTuber.

This might seem like a dumb question but how exactly do you make money playing video games? Advertising?

There are different ways that you can make money by playing video games. You can either set up your own livestream twitch.tv channel (I will be doing a review on this shortly) where you can become partnered with them and receive donations from loyal viewers or you can partner with YouTube and make money off of Google Adsense ads. And the question is not dumb. It is very legit and many people don’t understand how playing games for a living is even possible. Thanks for the comment.

Thank you for the comment. I highly suggest that those who absolutely love video games should at least try it at. You have nothing to lose except some time which is insubstantial in my opinion.

I rated you an 8.5 because I am not a game enthusiast. But I think someone that is should really take everything you have said on board.

First of all I would like to say excellent blog! I had a quick
question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind before
writing. I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting
my ideas out. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes
are generally wasted just trying to figure out
how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!

I am just a natural born writer at heart so getting the ideas out that I want to convey on the screen is not hard for me to do. I just write what it is I am thinking and that is it. It also probably doesn’t hurt that blasting music from my iPhone helps ALOT! LOL! Thanks for the comment.
